This guide provides information for the selection, installation and operation of gascleaning equipment associated with dusts and fumes. For the present purpose, fumes are defined as particles of very small (sub-micron) size. The emphasis is on solid particles, but the removal of liquid droplets is covered in that demisters are an intrinsic part of wet particle collectors.
